SisterSpeak '09 is an all day event that gives sisters time to express themselves, share valuable information, network and make new friends. A variety of thought-provoking and fun presentations give the participants a day of enlightenment, practical knowledge, and a chance to exchange energy and bounce ideas off one another. This event is very interactive and all who register can sell merchandise or sign people up for their services (from their cars) as part of the registration fee.
Presenters
Tahirah Taalib-Din is a media specialist and TV show host from New York City. Tahirah will speak about successfully starting and running your own business; touching on how to balance such an endeavor with properly serving one's family life commitments, all the while maximizing your levels of personal development and growth.
Nathifa Davidson is an accomplished business woman and humanitarian. She will discuss how to winningly compete in the business world by making your home a primary base of operation. Also, she will show us how to reclaim our health and feel wonderful about our bodies!
Mu'minah Qadar is a most talented entrepreneur, writer and artist. She will rock our world as she shows us how to live a life of JOY! and purpose; seizing the magic of "now" and fulfilling one's God given Service. She will introduce an innovative approach, the "life of ASAP" (Authentic, Serving, Actualized and On Purpose!)
Hadayai Majeed, Co-founder and Administrator of the Baitul Salaam Network, Inc. will walk us through the obstacles and triumphs of a "survivor now thriver", through poetry. She will also speak to the power of Grassroots Organizing from a firsthand perspective; its challenges and how to triumph in growing field.
KS Mobley is a Consultant and Facilitator of Family, Relationship and Parenting workshops in metro Atlanta. She is known for her innovative approach in helping people open up and share their true feelings. You will leave with the skills necessary to create more genuine, rewarding relationships with family and loved ones.
Your $25.00 fee includes a wonderful halal lunch prepared on site. Let us know if you have any dietary concerns (low salt, low sugar, vegan), etc.
